COFCO won the First Prize of "2017 China Excellent 500 for Enterprise Social Responsibility"

On January 28, 2018, the 16th Chinese Enterprises Development High-level Forum, guided by the Development Research Center of the State Council was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. COFCO won the First Prize of "2017 China Excellent 500 for Enterprise Social Responsibility" issued by the China Association of Enterprise Social Assessment.
Established in 1991 by the Development Research Center of the State Council, the China Evaluation Association (CEA) is the only state-level corporation aggregate registered to the Ministry of Civil Affairs and with the qualifications for corporate accreditation. China Excellent 500 for Enterprise Social Responsibility are selected by the CEA from 1,800 enterprise samples based on the Chinese Evaluation Criteria on Enterprise Social Responsibility, published by the CEA in 2014, which covers 63 indicators in 10 aspects such as legal ethics, quality and safety, energy and environment. On the basis of the self-owned data of the CEA and the externally disclosed data of various enterprises, this evaluation was added with the social responsibility reports and public opinion data on the Internet of the enterprises. COFCO topped the list with 918.44 points (1,000 points for limit), and was ranked in the top 10 in terms of four single items, i.e., legal ethics, shareholders’ rights and interests, harmonious community, and responsibility management.
